Makaraka school from gisborne has just been to whangara on their yearly lender ship camp. The year 5 and 6 did some very fun and awesome activities . They went up on february 20th to the 22nd.but the greats of them all was the Cooks Cove walk it was a blast.They stayed two nights there.
The year 5 and 6 had a slow drive in a minivan up to Cooks Cove walkway. They stared the walk with a smile on their face they they got to the lookout buff and sweety. Liam look over the hill and saw the calm Crystal blue sea. He saw fish jump and waves crash above the beach seagulls were diving he said it was a wonder full site. They keep on walk up the hill they said it took a slow and long time.
Finally they staggered down the step and through the bush they heard the birds sing.they reach the bottom at last they sprinted out of the bush happy and excited to be at the bottom of the hill.They were amazon to know how big the hole in the wall was. They races into the water like fly fish sposh splat they slowly came out with sad to leave the beautiful place there walk fast and quick up.The steps they reached the end happy and proud for what they do.
They hoped in the minivan. They had a chapy drive. They Did not want to leave cooks cove. Kaht he said it was the best time of his life walking up he hill and running back down.They loved it so much they want to go back agent .
They loved the trip to whangara. They loved all of the activities they had elling, Snorkeling,kayaking and cooks cove the best they said.They had the best camp ever they said we could never forget get it. They got back and had a lovely time .

I am impressed by your journalistic writing, Max! I particularly like the comment about being buff and sweaty! I laughed at that! i wonder if it would help you to listen to your writing with reader/writer and check that the tense is all the same?
